ID Exchange

The "ID Exchange" page is your private logbook for peer-to-peer identification. Every session listed here has either been initiated by you or shared with you. These are private and only visible to you and the other person involved.

Getting Started

How do I start sharing my ID with someone?

From the home screen, tap the "ID Exchange" button to create a new session. You will choose what data you want to share and set how long it should be available (e.g., one day, one week, etc.).

How do I share the ID Exchange session with someone?

After creating an ID Exchange session, you can share it using one of the following methods: • 6-digit session code – Use this when you're on a phone or voice call. Just read the code aloud. • QR code – Best for in-person sharing. Ask the other person to scan the code directly from your screen. • Shareable link – Great for messaging apps, emails, or social media. Just copy and send the link.

How do I create an account?

You can register by scanning a valid ID (passport, driver's license, etc.). In Sweden, you can also use BankID. Your verification level (Bronze, Silver, or Gold) will be based on the method you choose.

Privacy and Control

Can I choose what information I share?

Yes, you're always in control. You can select which details to include, such as name, personal number, address, or social links.

Can I set a time limit for the ID Exchange?

Absolutely. You can choose how long your information stays available — from 1 day to 1 month.

Why can't I see the other person's information right away?

Both of you need to verify your identities and agree to the data exchange. This ensures privacy and mutual consent.

Who else can see the ID Exchange session?

No one but you and the other person involved. These sessions are fully private and securely stored.

How long are ID Exchange sessions kept?

Each private session is securely stored for 1 year, unless you choose to delete it earlier.

ID Exchange Status

What do the status labels mean?

• Pending – The session has been created and is waiting for the other party to verify it. • Verified – The verification has been successfully completed by both parties. • Expired – The session is no longer valid due to time limits.

Public Profile

Your public profile is how you present yourself digitally — verified, trustworthy, and shareable. You can include different identity levels and connect social links to show who you are.

Getting Set Up

How do I verify my profile?

Tap "Profile Verification" on the home screen. You will be guided to verify your identity using either a document scan or BankID.

Can I create more than one profile?

Yes. You can create separate profiles for personal, professional, or event-related use. Each profile can include different data and social links.

How do I hide my public profile?

If you want to use only private sharing, just turn off the "Published" toggle in your profile view. Your public profile will be hidden immediately.

How long is my profile stored?

Your profile stays active until you decide to delete it. You are always in control.

Verification Levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold

What do Bronze, Silver, and Gold mean?

These levels show how your identity was verified: - **Bronze**: Basic document scan. - **Silver**: Verified with BankID. - **Gold**: NFC scan of a biometric ID. The higher your level, the more trust your profile carries.

How do I upgrade my level?

You can upgrade anytime: - From Bronze to Silver: Use BankID. - From Bronze to Gold: Scan a biometric ID with NFC. Go to your profile settings to start.

Why should I care about my level?

Some people and services may require a certain level of verification. A Gold profile gives you the highest trust.

Verified Social Links

How do I verify my social media accounts?

For platforms like Facebook or Twitter, use 'Login with...'. For others, claim the link and add a backlink to your IDfier profile on that platform.

What do the icons next to my links mean?

The orange icon means it's pending verification. The green icon means it's fully verified.

How can someone know my profile is really mine?

Each link you verify adds credibility. For manual links, others can check that your IDfier profile link appears on your own website or social bio.
