How IDfier Works
Know who you're talking to—before you meet, match, or send anything.
Deepfakes. AI-generated faces. Fake IDs.
Identity has never been easier to fake—and harder to trust. Traditional signs of credibility—photos, video calls, even social profiles—just don't hold up anymore.
IDfier gives you real answers about who's behind the screen using secure, government-level identity verification.
Why Identity Verification Matters Now
Profile photos can be AI-generated or stolen
Deepfakes can fake real-time video calls
Background stories can be scraped and fabricated
Phone numbers and social handles can be completely fake
Government-Level Verification in Three Simple Steps
IDfier uses biometric security, chip verification, and document analysis to confirm identities—no guesswork, no manual checks, no room for manipulation.
While no system can claim 100% certainty, IDfier's technology is tested and proven to be 99.9% accurate in detecting real users and blocking impersonation attempts.
Step 1: Scan Your ID
Using your phone's camera, scan your government-issued ID. Our technology checks over 100 document features in seconds.
Make sure the document is real
- Passports (incl. biometric/e-passports)
- National ID cards
- Driver's licence
- Residence permits
- Refugee IDs
- Military IDs
- Visas
Step 2: Tap the NFC Chip
If your document has a biometric chip (like an e-passport or new national ID card), tap it to your phone. The chip holds encrypted identity data and your official photo—digitally signed by your government.
Verify encrypted identity data from the chip
- Biometric passports
- National e-ID cards
- New driver's licence (select countries)
- Residence permits
- Health insurance cards (some regions)
Step 3: Face Verification & Liveness Check
To stop deepfakes and impersonators, you'll complete a quick head movement check—looking left, right, up, and down. Our AI confirms you're a real human, not a static image or manipulated video.
Prove it's really you
- Selfie fraud
- Pre-recorded videos
- AI-generated masks and filters
- Deepfake and screen replay attacks
Peer-to-Peer Verification Made Simple
Once you've verified yourself, you can request others to do the same.
Step 4: Send a Verification Request
Find someone by username, or scan their IDfier QR code. Send a quick request explaining why you want to verify (e.g., 'We're meeting tomorrow' or 'I'd like to confirm this booking').
Step 5: Choose What to Share
You control what verified information you show. No one sees anything unless you both agree to share.
- Full name
- Verified profile photo
- Nationality
- ID type
- Age verification (no full birth date shown)
- Verification timestamp
Step 6: Mutual Trust, Exchanged Securely
Once both sides accept the request, IDfier securely swaps the selected data. Everything is encrypted, and IDfier never stores your private info without your permission.
